Bluesky gel polish does not use substances prohibited in the EU and is therefore safe

 

❌ Status in the EU:

  • Prohibited in cosmetics according to the Cosmetics Regulation (EC) 1223/2009.
     
  • TPO is not on the approved list of UV filters or excipients.
     
  • The European Commission considers TPO a potentially reprotoxic substance (C.M.R. category 2), meaning it may pose a risk to fertility or unborn children.
     
  • Therefore, the use of TPO is not permitted in nail products sold as cosmetics in the EU.
     

✅ What is allowed?

Instead of TPO, many European manufacturers use alternative photoinitiators such as:
 
  • Benzoyl peroxide
  • Diphenyl(2,4,6-trimethylbenzoyl)phosphine oxide (TPO-L) → only allowed if it meets safety assessments.
     
     

Bluesky gel polish complies with EU regulations and approval

I can just wipe the Gel Polish off.

- Gel polish must be cured in a UV/LED lamp.

- Nail plate not degreased or insufficiently degreased

- Medication use

 

The Gel Polish lasts less than 2 weeks.

- The nail plate is insufficiently degreased with Alcohol 70% or Cleanser Pads.

- No Bluesky Base Coat was used.

- Drug use may be a factor.

 

How should Primer be used?

- After degreasing, apply Primer and allow to air dry.

 

After curing the Bluesky Top Coat, the nail is still sticky.

- The sticky layer must be removed with Alcohol 70% or Cleanser Pads.

- No Wipe products do not have a sticky layer!

 

After curing, the tip of the natural nail is visible.

- After each layer of Gel Polish, the nail must be sealed to prevent shrinkage.

- Apply gel polish slightly over the tip of the nail to seal it

 

The Gel Polish has blistered or wrinkled.

- The Gel Polish has been applied too thickly.

- It is better to apply 2 thin coats for the best result

 

Is it possible to combine Bluesky Gel Polish with other brands?

- Adhesion may be reduced if a different brand of Base or Top Coat is used.

- The best result is achieved by using Bluesky Basecoat, Bluesky Gel Polish and Topcoat.

 

The first layer of colored Gel Polish is not opaque.

- Some colors are opaque after the 2nd or 3rd thin coat.

 

How should Hard Gel be used?

- For nails that are naturally thin, apply Hard Gel after the basecoat.

- For cracked nails, Hard Gel can be applied over the colored Gel Polish.

 

How should I store Gel Polish?

- Gel polish should be stored in a dark and cool place.

 

How long can I store Gel Polish?

- Bluesky Gel Polish is shelf-stable for 12 months after opening. After this time, the quality may decline.

- The Gel Polish may also become slightly thicker

 

When will my order be shipped?

- Orders placed before 14:00 will be shipped the same day.

- Orders paid with a credit card are usually shipped the next day.

- Orders placed during the weekend will be shipped on Monday.

 

When are orders shipped for free?

- Orders over €25 will be shipped for free within the Netherlands.

- For orders within the Netherlands under €25, a shipping fee of €3.95 will be charged.

 

I have not received a Track & Trace code.

- Orders of up to 5 bottles are sent as letterbox packages.

- Shipments are made with PostNL

- Track and Trace is always provided via email. If you don't receive it, please check your spam folder.

Why are shipping costs for orders to Belgium higher?

- Shipping costs to Belgium are much higher than shipping within the Netherlands.

- Orders over €55 are shipped free of charge to Belgium.

- For orders under €55, shipping costs to Belgium are €11.

Nail Preparation:

Push back cuticles with a cuticle pusher, optionally buff the nail surface and clean it with Bluesky Cleanser Pads

Method:

  1. Apply Bluesky Base Coat thinly, cure for 30 sec.
  2. Apply a thin layer of Gel Polish, cure for 30 sec.
  3. Repeat step 2 to get sufficient coverage
  4. Apply Bluesky Top Coat, cure for 30 sec
  5. Wipe off the sticky layer with Bluesky Cleanser or 70% Alcohol

 

Note: Curing takes place under UV/LED light, curing time depends on the lamp you use!

 

Removing Gel Polish

  1. Dull the top coat with file 100/180
  2. Fold remover wraps around the nail
  3. Leave on for 15 min
  4. Remove any residue with a cuticle pusher or file 100/180
